Aum Shri Sairam,Respected Deepa mam,Hope for your well being.I just visited your blog which is really nice. You are really spreading the SAI messages across the globe. I just need to draw you kind attention to the particularity of words used in our language as desired by our beloved Baba. It is all about your message on Friday, Oct 3, 2008; you have mentioned to fulfill other people's desires. I am sure that those who are well at spirituality will understand it as 'needs of poor/needy' but general mass may take it otherwise. This is happening since HIS (Baba's) incarnation. Many people misinterprets HIS messages like this one "Help ever Hurt never". Help can be done only to the needy. Our scriptures says, "Kupatreshu Danam mithya" means 'donation will be meaningless if given to greedy/wrong person'. The basic difference between need and desire is; former is essential for living and later is optional. Infact, Baba told us to reduce our 'desires'. We always says, "I Want Peace"; the only way to get it is to 'remove I' & 'reduce Wants'. I means Ego and wants means desires. I would like to request you to consider my comment as my view only as I never have any intention to hurt the feelings or work of anybody or any religion or faith as...There is only one caste; the caste of humanity,There is only one religion the religion of Love,There is only one language, the language of heart,There is only one GOD,and He is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient.A lotus at HIS divine lotus feet,RajivJai Sairam.
Om Sai Ram Dear Rajiv ji,I thought and I thought and I thought some more but I could not think of even word that could replace that sentence ... And so in the end I just decided to leave it as it is....Personally , giving for me is not all about just helping the poor and the needy - it is much more than that ..Our elders desire our respect, our workers desire to be appreciated, our children desire to be understood by us,etc etc...And frankly speaking ,I guess--- its the attitude of each person that matters-- every person has a different way of thinking and 2 people can look at one given thing in 2 diff ways.. A person with a positive attitude towards life will understand that a glass is half full and be thankful to God while another one might understand that the glass is half empty and be sad and complain abt it.. So no matter what we do, in the end it drops down to a persons attitude .. But if u can think of any word that will be precise to what I mean to say in that sentence..Plz do let me know -- I will be glad to change that sentence..Thanks for appreciating this blog.May Sai baba's blessings and grace always be with us..Sai bhakt, Deepa H
Thanks for this post it really was a nice post I was searching for some answer and I feel this article I came across by Babas Grace thank you.

Good article Deepa.Rajiv; I would like to draw your attention to our beloved Param Sadguru Sai Baba's other statements too. 1. "I give people what they want so they ask what i want to give".2. In the initial phases Sai would help his devotees for health etc and in some cases ,let his devotees undergo suffering to get over their karmic balance.3. I shall consider you blessed when your merits and de-merits cease .(equal/cancel each other as i interpret)so i think, fulfilling desires is part and parcel of making devotees themseleves realise the hollowness of desires, just like initially you have to give ur kid a candy, rather then embedding discipline with no sops.I am sure had it not been for miracles , there would be no takers for spirituality.the purpose of fulfilling mundane desires and miracles in initial phases is to develop peoples faith in a supreme power, before moulding them on aspiritual path once they start obeying, respecting their Sadguru. Also 'help ever , hurt never should be rightly balanced with one of the other statements of Sai which advocates being stern or indifferent to wicked people. "Humility is not for all,be stern with wicke
